The name behind the original Carter AFB carburetor, Carter is the fuel delivery brand of Federal-Mogul.
The extensive new Carter HI-Performance product line includes advanced Rotary Vane-style electric fuel pumps for enhanced flow and reliability on basic carbureted applications; top-quality/maximum-flow Premium HP In-line fuel pumps for ultra-high-output street machines and racing applications; Direct-Fit Electric fuel pumps specially engineered for tuner engines; Competition Series mechanical fuel pumps for muscle cars and classic applications; and Die-Cast Billet Mechanical pumps for top-level competition and appearance.
Carter Rotary Vane Electric pumps are engineered for use with leaded and unleaded gasoline, gasohol, diesel fuels and fuel boosters in 4-, 6- and 8-cylinder applications. These positive displacement pumps include an internal pressure regulating valve and have no points to burn out or shaft seals to deteriorate. Models are available with 72- to 100-GPH flow ratings and 8- to 18-psi pressure ratings.
Designed for the most demanding carbureted, forced air induction and fuel-injected applications ranging from 200 to 1,100 horsepower, Carter Premium HP In-Line fuel pumps combine unsurpassed flow ratings with exceptional reliability. These premium pumps feature leading-edge composite technologies commonly used in high-performance aircrafts. Available for MFI, TBI, EFI, and carbureted applications and offered with flow ratings ranging from 45 GPH to 900 lb./hour, Carter Premium HP In-Line pumps feature a beautiful, show-style finish.
Ideally suited to tuner applications with increased fuel delivery needs related to the use of a blower or nitrous, Carter Direct-Fit Electric fuel pumps provide ultra-precise pressure and flow. A total of 12 pump designs cover applications ranging from Mazda Miatas to Ford Mustang Cobras.
New Carter Competition Series Mechanical pumps are engineered for street tuner applications that are commonly starved for fuel at the top end. These die-cast pumps feature lightweight aluminum bodies and fuel bowls combined with heat-treated high-speed levers, anti-float springs, flat diaphragms and clocking features. They are available for Chevrolet, Chrysler and Ford applications.
The “best of the best” in performance mechanical pumps, new Carter Die-Cast Billet pumps are CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum for the ultimate in dimensional accuracy and feature a three-valve design that simplifies operation and ensures superior flow. All fittings are manufactured from plated steel and provide perfect mating with braided stainless steel fuel lines.
The Carter HI-Performance fuel delivery line also includes premium regulators, filters and housings for a wide range of carbureted and EFI applications.
