SOUTHFIELD, Mich.--Federal-Mogul Corporation’s Fel-Pro®, the premier brand of gaskets for high performance engines, has introduced several premium complete engine sealing sets for popular racing and street performance engines. Fel-Pro Gaskets, “The Gaskets Professionals Trust™,” are manufactured and marketed by Federal-Mogul.
Premium Fel-Pro performance full sets feature the latest race-proven engine sealing technologies, including Fel-Pro PermaTorqueMLS® multi-layer-steel head gaskets, rigid-core molded rubber valve cover and one-piece oil pan gaskets, steel-core intake manifold gaskets, and high-temperature crankshaft seals.

- LS-1 Chevrolet (3.945-in. head gasket bore size)
- LS-1 Chevy (4.100-in. head gasket bore size)
- 1959-74 Chevrolet SB V8 (thin front oil pan end seal, left-hand dipstick)
- 1975-79 Chevrolet SB V8 (thick front oil pan end seal, left-hand dipstick)
- 1980-85 Chevrolet SB V8 (thick front oil pan end seal, right-hand dipstick)
- 1986-97 Chevrolet SB V8 (thick front oil pan end seal, right-hand dipstick, one-piece rear main bearing seal)
- 1965-90 Chevrolet BB V8
- 1962-82 Ford SB V8
The Fel-Pro PermaTorqueMLS head gaskets included in each full set feature the same technology used by leading NASCAR Nextel Cup, Nationwide and Craftsman Truck Series engine builders. Each gasket features up to four layers of full-hard stainless steel to maintain shape and withstand scrubbing and crushing caused by casting motion. These gaskets also feature strategically placed sealing beads that are concentric to the cylinder bores to eliminate leak paths. Some applications feature a welded “stopper” layer that provides a superior primary combustion seal. A proprietary rubber compound seals surface finishes up to 60 ra.
Fel-Pro performance one-piece molded rubber valve cover and oil pan gaskets provide an exact fit, are easier to install and include compression limiters to prevent overtightening. Their advanced rubber formulations are ideally suited to high-temperature applications, while the gaskets’ rigid carrier design provides exceptional strength for high-vacuum engines. Multiple sealing beads allow each gasket to seal a wide variety of both OEM and aftermarket castings.
The latest offering of Fel-Pro performance manifold sets is a range of solid core intake gaskets. These gaskets are intended for high-vacuum racing engines as well as performance applications that have a long expected service life, such as street machines, tow vehicles and marine engines. These gaskets feature a steel core for improved lateral stability and an anti-stick coating to speed gasket removal and clean up.
